Upon arriving at the Los Patos ranch, there is no doubt that it is a place with a passion for horses, for authentic country life. You can breathe history; that of a family that has been rooted in these lands for more than 250 years, and that is part of the history of the surroundings of San Miguel del Monte. Horses, cattle and sheep are part of the landscape. Thanks to the electric wires, good management of pasture production is achieved. Some lagoons scattered around the property are the habitat of a diversity of birds that cross the late afternoon sky in large flocks. On horseback or in carriages, you can travel the internal roads and pastures to see the news about the cattle. You can participate in the care of the horses. Brushing or bathing them is a pleasure for those who enjoy doing field work, in contact with horses.
From the various windows of the house there are views of the flat horizon of the pampas. It is a family home, with walls covered by bookcases, a fireplace, and where each piece of furniture has its story. In the dining room, the ancestors are remembered. During the stay, Liniers, Rosas and Videl Dorna come back to life in the story, from whom a large family descends, today dispersed in the neighboring estancias. Ángel Estrada is a great host in his house. He transmits his passion for history and for the pleasures of country life.
Estancia Los Patos is the ideal place to experience the Argentine countryside and learn everything about the game of Polo, which is widely played in the family. The town of San Miguel del Monte is worth a visit, especially if accompanied by Ángel Estrada who highlights the history and brings it to life in his story. In the town, what was once Rosas’s ranch is preserved, it has a plaza with its colonial-style church, and it has a waterfront to the Monte lagoon. There are some country shops in the streets and surrounding areas, such as León de la Sierra, where there is a good selection of country trousers, espadrilles, boots, crafts, cheeses and regional sausages, among other items.
Estancia Los Patos, due to its proximity to Buenos Aires, can be enjoyed by visiting for the day. For a greater immersion in country life, it is available for stays of one or more nights. Being a family house with few rooms, the service is very personalized and the structure is perfect for booking the entire house, to enjoy the experience in private.

The main house has a living room with a fireplace and large windows that look out onto the gallery, the garden and the pool; a reading space; Honesty Bar, and the dining room.
